HVAC Installer HVAC Technician

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional weekends and overtime
Pay: $16-$40/hr + Benefits (Based on Experience)

At CKP Heating & Cooling, we’re looking for a skilled HVAC Installer who takes pride in quality workmanship and delivering a top-tier experience to clients. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing heating and air conditioning systems to meet company standards, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead and train other installers, helping to maintain high-quality performance and timely project completion.

What You’ll Do:

Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including ductwork, furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners
Ensure all installations meet safety and industry codes
Supervise and train junior installers, maintaining high work quality
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to ensure proper system functionality
Work closely with clients to provide solutions that best fit their needs
Maintain a clean and professional work environment

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of HVAC installation experience with at least 1 year in a lead role
High school diploma or equivalent
EPA Type 1 & 2 certification
Proficiency in HVAC system design, ductwork installation, refrigerant handling, and troubleshooting
Strong understanding of gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, and low-voltage systems
Ability to train and supervise team members
Exceptional safety knowledge and expertise with HVAC tools and testing devices
General knowledge of all residential and light commercial HVAC codes

Willingness to attend leadership and advanced HVAC training (20 hours per year)

Work Hours: Full-time, dispatched from home

As an HVAC Service Technician/Installer at CKP Heating & Cooling, you’ll have the opportunity to work independently, travel to different job sites, and tackle a variety of HVAC systems, from refrigeration and air conditioning to furnaces, boilers, and building automation controls. Whether you’re troubleshooting, installing, or performing routine maintenance, your expertise will help keep homes and businesses comfortable year-round.

What You’ll Do:

Travel to service calls daily as scheduled
Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems, including refrigeration, electric motors, heat pumps, furnaces, and more
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure efficiency and longevity of systems
Conduct performance tests using specialized tools
Consult with customers, assess their needs, and discuss solutions
Install new HVAC systems, including piping and ductwork
Sell ongoing maintenance contracts to ensure long-term customer satisfaction
Maintain an accurate inventory of tools and equipment
Adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments at different locations

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of HVAC experience
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
Strong knowledge of HVAC refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and system operations
Experience with refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging
Proficiency in running copper, iron, and PVC piping
Ability to troubleshoot advanced electrical circuits using multi-meters
Knowledge of temperature, humidity control, and air treatment processes
Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, and maintain strong customer relationships

What Sets You Apart:

Sheet metal skills (a plus)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional, punctual, and able to work independently
Experience working with building automation control systems
